Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper described the change in molecular weight distribution of gelatin solution by ultrasonic wave irradiation. The decomposition of gelatin was differed according to oscillators used. The mechanism of decomposition of gelatin by ultrasonic wave irradiation was assumed that high molecular structure or intermolecular linkage of gelatin was cleaved and peptide linkage of gelatin was broken by ultrasonic wave irradiation. It was shown that physical properties of gelatin changed and photographic properties were affected by ultrasonic wave irradiation.
