Reversal-of-Directivity Transducers on a Li_2B_4O_7 NSPUDT Substrate

Abstract(in English) Natural single phase unidirectional transducers (NSPUDT) have attracted much attention for implementing low-loss SAW devices. Since the unidirectionality of NSPUDT is inherent to the substrate orientation, it is necessary to make the receiving transducer unidirectional in the opposite direction for obtaining a low-loss filter using two transducers with reverse directivity. Previously we have proposed new transducer configurations (RDT: Reversal-of-Directivity Transducer) to reverse the directivity of NSPUDT substrates. In this paper, we report the RDTs on the NSPUDT orientations of a Li_2B_4O_7 substrate reported by authors. Experimental results show the good reversed unidirectionality without degradation of directivity.
