Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ZnS is potentially very efficient phosphors and it is capable of emission of the visible spectrum with the help of some impurities. Photoacoustic spectroscopy(PAS) is applied to study the nonradiative processes in ceramic ZnS with Cu impurity which is used for application in electroluminescence(EL) devices. It is found that the signal intensity below fundamental absorption edge increases with increasing Cu impurity. Corresponding phase decreases with increasing Cu impurity. Thus PAS is useful for ZnS with Cu impurity in order to get optical absorption information.
