Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ceramic ZnO which contain transition and rare earth metal oxides are known to show the varistor effects and widely used for transient voltage protection of electronic circuits and electrical machinery. In this report, we studied the photoacoustic spectroscopy of Ceramic ZnO doped with 1mol. % Bi_2O_3 using in order to get information on their optical absorption characters. The samples were sintered 800, 900, 1000, 1100℃ for 1 hour in air. It is found that the PA signal intensities plotted semilogarithmically varied linearly with the photon energy below the fundamental absorption edge and the steepness of slope was changed with sintering temperatures, indicating some changes of the electronic states and the structural disorder of ceramics.
