Abstract(in English) The aim of this study is to examine the improvement of out-of-band characteristics of a λ/4 resonator BPF by tap-connection techniques. Firstly, variations of the resonance characteristics of the λ/4 resonator are examined under change of positions for excitaions. Secondly, the loaded element resonator(LER) using tap-connection technique is proposed on the basis of the conventional technique for creating the attenuation pole. Finally, the transmission characteristics of 2-pole BPF on the basis of the combination of the tapped λ/4 resonator, the λ/4 LER and the tapped λ/4 LER are examined. As a result, the attenaution pole can be obtained at each side of the fundamental resonant frequency by the tapped LER. We also confirmed that the combination of the tapped resonator, the LER and the tapped LER produced the multiple attenuation poles.
