Design of HTS CPW Bandpass Filters Using Meander-Line Parallel-Circuited Resonators

Abstract(in English) High-T_c superconducting (HTS) coplanar waveguide (CPW) bandpass filters (BPF) using meander-line parallel-circuited resonators are proposed. By expressing the meander-line resonator including the transmission lines at the input and output ports as a simple LC parallel-circuited resonator, the design method of the BPF is shown based on the conventional J-inverter BPF design method. The two-, six- and twelve-stage BPFs are designed at the center frequency of 1.358GHz and the relative band-width of 3.0%. The frequency characteristics of the BPFs calculated by both the equivalent circuit analysis and the electromagnetic field simulation agreed well and validity of the design method is confirmed. A design method to improve stopband characteristics is also described.
