Measurements of surface resistance of YBCO films using two modes in a sapphire rod resonator

Abstract(in English) A two-resonator method using a TE_<011> and a TE_<013> mode sapphire rod resonators has been commonly used to measure the surface resistance R_s of high-T_c superconductors and loss tangent tanδ of sapphire rods, separately. In this method, there is a problem that the error of R_s occurs due to the difference of tanδ between two sapphire rods. To improve this defect, a one-resonator method using a TE_<021> and a TE_<012> modes in a dielectric resonator has been proposed. In this paper, it is verified that the measured result of R_s of YBCO thin film by the one-resonator method using a sapphire rod resonator agreed with one by two-resonator method.
