Investigation of Anisotropic d-wave Josephson Current by High-T_c Ramp-edge Junctions

Abstract(in English) Asymmetric Josephson ramp-edge junctions have been fabricated by using YBa_2Cu_3O_7-δ(YBCO)high-T_c superconductors. The samples were fabricated by depositing a CeO_2 seed layer on an MgO(100)substrate, which relatively rotated the ab-plane orientation angle of two superconductors with and without a seed layer by 45°. The temperature dependence of the maximum Josephson current and the microwave irradiation properties of the junctions were measured. We compare our experimental results with the d-wave Josephson junction(d/I/d junction)theory in each asymmetric junction. Furthermore, we discuss the crystal orientation and angle dependence of d-wave Josephson current.
