Abstract(in English) Elliptic function filters will be the important role in the next generation mobile communication of IMT2000 due to the steep skirt characteristics. Under the condition of identical steepness, the number of using resonator of elliptic function filter is less than that of conventional Chebyshev function filter, because the elliptic function gives equiripple in both the passbands and the stopbands. The realization of the optimum elliptic function in the form of planar type coupled resonators required a departure from simple hairpin geometry. This was asymmetry hairpin geometry. We designed the elliptic function filter of 6 poles of the microstrip structure using YBCO asymmetry hairpins. Excellent performance has been achieved at 77K and 10.5GHz.
