Abstract(in English) | This paper describes the orientation control experiments for YBCO thin films aiming to improve the performance of YBCO, PBCO/ YBCO trilayer Josephson junctions.When a-axis oriented YBCO films are grown directly onto SrTiO3(100)substrates,c-axis oriented grains are formed at the film-substrate interface,which degrade the surface morphology of the films.The surface morphology can be improved significantly by applying a template technique in which either YBCO or PBCO layers in cubic phase is used as a buffer layer.These cubic phase films are confirmed to grow under certain deposition conditions.Furthermore,YBCO/PBCO/YBCO trilayer structures with b-axis oriented PBCO layers are found to be obtained on the cubic PBCO buffer layers. |
