Abstract(in English) | The fabrication and properties of Ba_1-X>K_XBiO_3(BKBO)tunnel junctions with an artificial MgO barrier have been studied as a step toward all high-Tc SIS junctions.Epitaxial BKBO films prepared by rf-magnetron sputtering were used as the base- electrodes of the junctions. An MgO film was fabricated on each BKBO film using the MBE method. At the substrate temperature of 200℃ and 400℃,the MgO film on the BKBO film was polycrystalline and(11 0)oriented,respectively.In Au, MgO/BKBO junctions with a polycrystalline MgO film,non-linearity was clearly observed at 4.9 K and a high junction resistance of 75Ω・cm^2 at zero bias voltage was obtained. The normalized conductance of the junction at zero- bias corresponds to the theoretical leakage value predicted by the BCS theory within 5% error. These results demonstrate the advantages of an MgO layer as a tunnel barrier over natural barrier for all-oxide SIS junctions using BKBO films. Moreover,we examined the fabrication of SIS′ junctions. |
