Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The maximum theoretical performance of Josephson multi-threshold flash-type analog-digital converters is theoretically analyzed based on a comparator model which separates the quantizing and sampling functions. In addition to the information-theoretic bandwidth limitation related to the sampling rate,a new bandwidth limitation due to quantizer circuit delay is obtained. The effect of sampler sensitivty on bit resolution is also discussed.
