Microstripline resonators using YBaCuO films

Abstract(in English) Effects of ground, shield and correlations between film structures and microwave properties were studied using YBaCuO microstripline resonators.Unloaded Q of the YBaCuO resonators with normal conductor ground/shielding was suppressed down to less than 10^4,while the superconducting Nb or YBaCuO ground/shielding improved the unloaded Q up to 10^5.The films with the small grain size showed only a little power dependence of the unloaded Q and the resonant frequency in contrast to the large dependence for the films with the large grain size.Our results indicated that the control of the film morphology would become the key for the development of the high quality resonators.
