Subharmonic energy-gap structures in S-c-S systems

Abstract(in English) Superconductor-constrictions-Superconductor(S-c-S) devices have been fabricated by field evaporation technique. By this, the constriction length and the Andreev reflection(AR) probability can be readily varied. The shape and the tempetature variation of the experimental I_(V) curves is found to be in good agreement with the calculated curves based on the single-AR model,i.e., the BTK model. However, subharmonic energy-gap structures(SGS), which were observed in tunnel contacts with thin insulator (MgO) layer, is not visible in dV/dI,d^2V/dI^2-V curves for Z~0 samples in the temperature ranges from 4.2K to T_.
