GHz-Clock Power Supply for 2000-Gate Josephson Logic Circuits Using a Transformer

Abstract(in English) We have developed a superconductive thin film transformer for 2000-gate Josephson logic circuits. Measured current ratio is about 10 above 10 MHz and the resonance frequency is 650 MHz. Using this transformer, we have supplied power to a load circuit and performed high speed tests. The load circuit is equivalent to a logic circuit having 2000 gates. In the load circuit, the SOF circuit which is an elemental circuit of the superconductive interconnection chip is included. We have confirmed proper operation of the SOF circuit up to high clock frequency of 1.024 GHz. So we have got a prospect of GHz-clock operation of 2000-gate circuits. We have also succeeded in reducing high frequency powering noise by improving chip layout.
