Effiects of large dielectric constant of SrTiO_3 substrate on the characteristics of high Tc SQUID

Abstract(in English) For high Tc SQUID fabricated on SrTiO_3 substrate, it is expected that a standing wave occurs along a SQUID washer due to large dielectric constant of SrTiO_3. We study the effect of stnading wave on the characteristics of the SQUID with numerical simulation. It is shown that modulation voltage ΔV of the SQUID increases for the case when the resonant frequency of the SQUID washer is lower than the frequency corresponding to the operation voltage of the SQUID. Because the resonant frequency decreases with increasing the SQUID inductance, resonant phenomena due to large dielectric constant of SrTiO_3 can be used to improve the modulation voltage of the SQUID for th case of large inductance.
