Properties of a/c Josephson junctions using YBCO films

Abstract(in English) We have investigated a Josephson junction formed at a boundary of an a-axis oriented plate surrounded by c-axis oriented grains in YBCO(YBa_2Cu_3O<7-δ>) films. The films have been fabricated on a MgO(001) substrate by pulsed laser deposition. There are two types of the boundaries, one is consisted (100) and (001), the other is (110) and (001). TEM, observation shows clear lattice image along the grain boundary in both types. All of the junctions showed typical RSJ type I-V curves and Shapiro steps under microwave irradiation. In the case of the (110)-(001) type a/c junction, the diffraction pattern of Ic under magnetic field has the minimum value at zero magnetic field. This property is analogous to one expected for a s-wave-d-wave junction which is formed between Pb and YBCO.
