Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have fabricated a Josephson junction, with a structure which consists of a Ta/W counter electrode, a Ta/Nb base electrode and an AlOx-Al barrier for operation as a superconducting X-ray detector at 0.3K. A Ta layer is selected for long lifetime of quasiparticles and large X-ray absorption efficiency. The W layer is selected as a buffer layer for making a body centered cubic Ta counter electrode, and the Nb layer is also chosen for a body centered cubic Ta base electrode. The Al layer acts both as an overlayer for fabricating the AlOx barrier and as a layer for quasiparticle trapping. A subgap leakage current of the junction exhibits very low in the current-voltage characteristics.
