Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We report the phenomenon of quasiparticle injection with Au/insulator/YBCO junction. We here present new measurements of an improved of geometry which is free from the effect of the transport current using the samples fabricated by lift-off photolithography technique. The injector consisted of two Au/I/YBCO gate junctions. In this case, the contribution of injection current to the transport current became negligibly small. As a result, the current gain of 2 was obtained. Besides, we observed microwave emission from dc-biased Au/I/YBCO junctions, which provides a novel method to generate broad-band microwaves. The observed effect is not of Josephson nature and may be interpreted by nonequilibrium dynamics involving Cooper pairs and quasiparticles.
