PERFORMANCE OF A 500-GHZ SIS MIXER

Abstract(in English) This paper reports detailed experimental results for a 500-GHz tuneless waveguide SIS mixer, which is incorporated with parallel-connected twin junctions (PCTJ). The overall receiver noise temperature (DSB) of the 500-GHz SIS mixer has a minimum value of 74K at 472GHz and is lower than 300K over the frequency range of 350-550GHz. Some qualitative analyses are finally devoted to the experimental results.
