Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) By applying superconductor to microwave devices, for example antenna, filter, transmission line and delay line, these devices become high efficiency, due to low surface resistance of the superconductor, which is ~10^2 lower than that of normal conductor. We designed, fabricated and characterized patch antenna made of YBCO thin film. It was observed from experiment that the gain of YBCO antenna was 1. 04dB higher than that of gold antenna at 40K. However gain of YBCO antenna decreased as temperature increased, and YBCO antenna did not work over the temperature of 70K.
