Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The microwave filters essential to mobile and satellite communications are required to have low insertion losses, narrow bands and sharp cutoff properties. We take account that the coplanar waveguide is easy to be fabricated and able to be scaled down, so we suggest that the bandpass filters can be realized by a miniaturized high-temperature superconducting coplanar waveguide. Design method that J-inverters are replaced with gaps in the inner conductor is established, and every parameter needed for design is obtained from measurements of gap S-parameter. Also, we examine the dependence of Q factor on insertion losses and intermodulation distortion of the filters. Lastly, we design a 3-section filter which has the center frequency of 10GHz, the fractional bandwidth of 0.5% and the ripple of 1dB, and simulate both straight and meander coplanar waveguides. As a result, the wave shape close to the ideal transmission curve is obtained.
