Implementation and Evaluation of a Method of Knowledge Acquisition through WWW Browsing

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose the system called MindHeap which helps a user's knowledge acquisiton through WWW browsing. The approach of the system for supporting a user's knowledge acquisition is to use personal knowledge which plays an important role for acquiring and reminding knowledge. MindHeap can construct a model of the user's personal knowledge through interaction with the user, and guide the user's WWW browsing by using the personal knowledge model. We evaluated this system, and the results of the evaluation show that our method is reasonably effective.
