Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, a resurgence of interest in using a heuristic search to solve job-shop scheduling problems (JSPs) has occurred because of the development of heuristic search methods such as simulated annealing, tabu search, and genetic algorithms. Particularly, so many varieties of genetic algorithm (GA) for solving the classical JSP have been proposed in recent papers. Unfortunately, very few papers discussed about relations between the structural difficulty of JSP and the searching ability of GA. Here, we discuss about the difficulty of JSP by analyzing effects of using various evaluation criteria in GA for solving JSP.
