Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An evolutionary automatic door system is constructed in simulation. It learns from man's movements in front of or near an automatic door, which is the environment for the door or actuator. When a man approaches near the door, it opens sufficiently earlier before he comes near and strikes the door. When a man walks in front of the door without passing through it, the door keeps closing. This environment is not fixed as in the case of the evolutionary robot, which is walls around the moving field, and it changes with time evolution according to man's walking patterns. So this case is more difficult than the case of evolutionary robot.
