Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | This paper presents a logic that integrates the four notions of belief, knowledge, memory and perception.Frorm the philosophical proposition that the basis of our knowledge is perceptual experience, the necessity of memory is derived. Then, knowledge and belief are defined in terms of memory and perception and it is shown that these definitions preserve features of knowledge and belief that have been identified as being desirable. The major contribution of this paper are the definitions of knowledge and belief in terms of perception and meniory. We also claim that his approach naturally solves the awareness problem and the symbol grounding problem. |
