Abstract(in English) Academic and photo libraries require the reuse of image data.We propose a flexible montage retrieval method(FMR),which is a new method for retrieving full-color images from a central database. FMR′s basic concept is that a user selects the characteristics of the key images and retrieves the images by appropriately combining their features,in the same way that a montage picture of criminal is constructed.This paper describes an FMR algorithm that uses histogram matching and texture to evaluate all the color information in images.Finally this paper demonstrates the effectiveness of FMR by comparing its retrieved precision calculated by retrieving images with that of retrieval by sketch.
