Abstract(in English) Software synthesis shell SOFTEXSHELL, which enables easy construction of software model specific synthesis systems, has been developed to improve the productivity and quality of software. To evaluate its usefulness, software synthesis systems for switching service software, graphical user interface software and portable terminal file access software have been developed with SOFTEXSHELL and applied to large scale application software development. The productivity of the application software has been improved for 1.4~3.0 times by the use of software model specific synthesis systems. The productivity of the software model specific synthesis systems has been improved for 2.5~4.3 times by the use of SOFTEXSHELL.
