A Similar Object Search System for Acquisition & Reuse of Domain Knowledge

Abstract(in English) This article describes a method to search similar objects in a repository of object-oriented systems in order to reuse software resources and to review two object structures given. This method uses a quantitative measure to scale the similality between objects, and deals with attributes and relations or the objects to compare them. SimSearch system is implemented in MacProlog to examine the effectiveness of the method. From several experiments, we have shown that the system extracts similar objects using domain knowledge from a repository, and that it also provides useful informations for reuse and review of objects.
