Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We build the cooperative environment composed of human, robots and computers based on a multi-agent architecture. In this paper, we focus on a special agent, called mediator, that facilitates communication between those heterogeneous agents. To cooperate each other by this communication, mediator should support the function to maintain the knowledge about the domain with the common ontology, the function to decompose the task, the function to manage the agents' ability, and the function to collect the knowledge dependent on each agent. To illustrate the mediator, we show a system which consists of real-world agents for autonomous mobile robots, and intelligent environments like shelf and door, and information agents for imageprocessing and so on. The mediator interprets requests from human, and successfully decomposes and distributes tasks to agents according to agents' ability and their situations.
