Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have studied an architecture for Agent-based Distributed Information Processing System (ADIPS). In this paper, we propose Task Domain Description, which is a knowledge model of task domains for an agent-oriented programming language, to gentrify a distributed processing system into an ADIPS, which is constructed of many computational processes distributed in a UNIX LAN system. A programming language ADIPS/L is provided for ADIPS designers to implement their expertise of designing/operating/maintaining the computational processes which compose the DIPS. The agents which compose the ADIPS cooperate with other agents using the Extended Contract Net Protocol ECNP, which is defined by extending the Contract Net Protocol.
