Representation of Personal Information Interests and its Acquisition Method for Collaborative Filtering

Abstract(in English) Nowadays, large amounts of on-line information broadcasted from private persons/corporations are available in the Internet and these situation is called 'Information Inundation'. In particular, there exists unnecessary information as well, thus we have often unded up with a waste of time in dealing with such information. The purpose of this study is to develop 'Information Filtering System', which collects, classifies, stores various kinds of information through the Internet. Especially, we propose a collaborative filtering where collaboration with group members is incorporated into the process of filtering. In this paper, we mainly describe the representation of personal information interests and its acquisition method in our system.
