| 抄録(和) | データベースエンジン(Oracle8)の性能を定量的に測定しそのチューニングを行った. われわれはエンジンをチューニングするためにデータベースエンジンのプリミティブな操作について, 実行命令数を計測した. そのデータを元に各種のチューニングを施し, 定量的にその効果を確認した. その結果, 短期間にTPC-C型のベンチマークで実行回数を37%削減した. |
| 抄録(英) | We have measured the performance of a database engine, Oracle8, quantitatively to tune the performance. The instruction counts of primitive database operations have been measured in order to tune the performance of the database engine. Based on the data, we have applied several performance tuning and confirmed the quantitative result. Then, we could reduce 37% instruction counts of TPC-C type benchmarks in the short period time. |
