| Abstract(in English) | We propose the nowcasting method, which predicts the rainfall and snowfall in the very local and short time range, with artificial neural networks and spatiotemporal image precessing. Based on these techniques, the percipitation nowcasting system called "My Weather" and "FAX weather foreacst system" are developed. These systems have three major advantages; the forecasts are made every five minutes; the forecasts are offered on the small mesh size of 2.5km x 2.5 km; users can access the forecasts easily by the Internet or the facsimile. |
