Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We studied the correlation of the sensitivity and the stability of the output signal with the magnetization configuration in the MR head using the micromagnetic computer simulation. The MR output increased by tilting the easy axis from the longitudinal direction so that the average angle between the magnetization direction under the bias field and the hard direction became 0°. The output further increased by increasing the H_K of the MR film. The stability of the magnetization configuration was evaluated by applying the external field in the transverse direction of the MR head. The MR output decreased when a closure-domain structure appeared in the MR film or SAL under the certain calculation conditions.
