Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Contact recording systems have been studied for future magnetic recordig disks with a high recording density. Tribological key technologies for ultra-low spacing and high wear performance are raquired for the contact systans. In this study, design concepts for contact systems will be discussed from a viewpoint of low spacing and wear behaviors. As a result a minimum spacing of 3 nm and a high wear performaance ware obtained for optimal design of contact systems, i.e. pad design and lubricant material, and so on.
