An image-based rendering technique for geometrical deformation

Abstract(in English) Rendering objects with arbitrary view direction and light direction using image-based rendering requires enormous amount of image samples of the objects. We have developed a specialized image capturing platform for this purpose, and a method to construct texture databases from captured image sets and to compress the databases using TPE (tensor product expansion) We also developed a scheme to render captured objects. With our method, objects can be rendered with arbitrary view/light direction and with geometrical deformation.
