Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For mobile multimedia services, it has become an important technology to obtain mobile user's position and/or orientation parameters. We estimate two dimensional position parameters and a camera direction parametaer in the horizontal plane from optical flows. The flows are obtained by applying features tracking in an omni-directional image sequences. Since the flows is obvious to include errors, we use many flows, calculate these parameters from each flow and make histgrams of these calculated parameters. Estimated parameters are obtained to average these calculated parameters. In this paper, we propose to use different time intervals of features tracking and position estimation. We evaluate whether to decrease an influence for the estimation errors.
