Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, it is necessary to determine 3-D shape and surface reflectance of target object at the same time. In this paper, we propose a method to achieve such a determination with a simple measurement system. In this method, 3-D shape including one unknown parameter, i.e. an absolute scale, which is measured by moire analysis, is used. Additionally, surface reflection is modeled as the sum of Lambert's and specular reflections, which reflectances are uniformly on the surface of the object. By adjusting the unknown parameters which consist of the absolute scale of the 3-D shape and the above reflectances, we can obtain the optimal solution which minimize the difference between an ideal image calculated using the above parameters and the observed image. The effectiveness of the proposed method can be confirmed by conducting the computer simulations and the real image experiment.
