Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We proposed Log-Polar Steerable Filter (LPSF) algorithm, using a log-polar mapping of the input image, which is a model similar to the projection of retinal space onto the visual cortex. In LPSF algorithm, the fixation point moves several times on an input image, and searches target objects identical to the template object by filter responses of the mapped image (foveated image) before it arrives at the target object. It was shown that this algorithm improved pattern search in terms of the computation time. |
