Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Face identification has been resarched for security. This paper presents a method for face identification using auto-extacted facial feature points and real Gabor transformation. In this method, first, we extract facial feature points automatically from detected face organ, then obtain Gabor transformation around the feature points. We compare the input image with data base using both Gabor information and feature points distance. Gabor transformation has advantages of local frequency analysis of image. We efficiently identifify faces with arranging Gabor filters without ovarlap and with using output of the filters only around feature points.
