Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recnetly, many applications in virtual reality and robotics, such as the compensation of time delays in tele-presence and walk-through, require to use virtual environment extracted from real scene. We propose 3D environment modeling method which extract a geometrical model and texture images in 3D environment from omnidirectional image sequence. However, it has an intrinsical problem where the angular resolution of HyperOmniVision is lower than that of conventional video camera. To solve this problem, we improve the resolution of its textures by using the omnidirectional image sequence based on the ideas, image mosaic and super-resolution.
