Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a method for detecting movable areas which are defined as an area without obstacles. We segment the images into some different regions by using Gabor filters, and select the movable road areas. We calculate the distance and the direction of movable road areas by using stereo matching. Experimental results are shown in cases of a general road area and a room area.
