| Abstract(in English) | Our purpose is to develop an "intelligent" environment which can assist humans in accomplishing specific tasks, by determining individual attributes such as face direction, gender, age, and so on. In this paper, we present a multiple camera system which captures images simultaneously. In the system we have developed, the facial database consists of 300 persons with a wide range of age. Images of each person are recorded from 168 directions (24 horizontal times 7 vertical directions). Examples of the facial images and the results of the detected facial parts are presented. |
