Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A difficult problem encountered in automatic bankcheck verification is that the verification system is required an extremely low error rate despite of the limited number of reference data for training. In this paper, we propose a new bankcheck verification system which combines the outputs of seal imprint and signature verifiers to improve the verification performance. The two verifiers are combined in the bankcheck verification system by a modified voting strategy in which a confidence level of individual verification result is considered. Experimental results show that the combination of two verifiers improves the verification performance both on "false-rejection error rate" and "false-acceptance error rate".
