Character Recognition Field Extraction Using Table Image Analysis on Facsimile Image

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a method which extract areas for character recognition on a facsimile image. The facsimile image has noise and distorsion such as scale change, translation, skew, warp. This mathod overcomes the noise by eliminating the facsimile noise, and the distortion by structure analysis of a table image including these areas. Our experimental results with real facsimile images reviel the effeciveness of the method.
