Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a method of recognizing the partial shape of objects by using 2-D knowledge of geometric patterns with rings and spokes based on the light pattern projection method. The rings and spokes in the pattern provide complex infomation for circular and radial direction, provided that the criterion is regarded as being in the center position of the pattern. Detailed information can be obtained near the center of the pattern while rough information can be obtained according to the spread of the outside of the pattern. At the end of the evaluating experiment, a high stable shape recognition(recognition rate 95.2[%]) can be realized.
