| 抄録(和) | 人の表情やジェスチャの認識はコンピュータとの自然なインタラクションを実現するうえで、有効な技術と考えられる。動画像で表情認識するためには、表情の変化が顕著にあらわれる目をリアルタイムで検出・追跡することが必要である。本報告では、顔の特徴点として目よりも検出しやすい眉間をまず見つけて追跡し、目をその両サイドに領域を限定して探索する手法を提案する。システムをSGI O2(175MHz CPU)に組み込み、実験をおこなった。処理速度は検出モードでは7frame/sec、追跡モードでは13frame/secでほぼリアルタイム処理が実現できた。顔の向きによる照明状態の変化にも追随できることがわかった。 |
| 抄録(英) | Face detection and eye tracking in realtime are the first steps for face expression recognition. We propose a two-step approach for eye tracking in video streams. First, we detect or track a point between the eyes. Once we detect the point between the eyes, it is fairly easy to locate the eyes, which are the two small darkest parts on each side of this point. Because detecting the point between the eyes is easier and more stable than directly detecting the eyes, the system can robustly track the eyes. We implement the system on a workstation. The system processes images at 13 frames per second in the tracking mode. |
