Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Although hue information is efective in identifying color images with robustness in the presence of noise, periodicity inherent in the information causes the method to be complex; therefore, it is a problem to realize an effective method for the identification with the periodicity. To overcome the problem, we stress that normalization of hue data extracted from observed color images is performed on a quotient space. We propose a method for the identification based on data via the normalization. We made experiments in which color images were matched with standard images in the presence of noise. Their results sustain the proposed method possesses the robustness.
