Abstract(in English) | This paper presents an improved method for anatomical labeling of bronchial branches. Anatomical labeling method is necessary for constructing computer aided diagnosis system of chest X-ray CT images. The previous method could not assign correct names of bronchial branches to the examples which have a junction variation different from the model and lacks of branches in region extract because of using only one model of bronchial branches. The proposed method suppresses illegal assignments by making use of several knowledge models for parts of the lung area and selecting the optimum model. This approach was applied to 14 real chest X-ray CT images, and we confirmed that this method improved the problems in the previous method and could assign names accurately. |
